One Response to "Certain Senior Officers seem to have forgotten this, so far one held accountable who’s next?"

I’m looking forward to more from this blog. There’s a difference between a “law enforcement officer” and a “peace officer”. Seems to me we’re getting more of the former and less of the latter. “Law enforcement” means looking for violations of the letter of the law to enforce, and subsequently punish. Even if no one is, or even claims to be, harmed. Peace officers are there to diffuse disputes. In order to enforce laws, one has to find violations of the law, by escalating circumstances. That’s what is happening in recent years, and it’s harmful to the rights of the citizens that the police claim to protect and serve.
I’m excited to see an insider’s view of this situation entering the local blogosphere, and please feel free to contact me if I can ever help you in any way.
